Light indicator of blown fuse :

An orange neon indicator lights when the fuse is blown.

Long and fine tip :

The length (26 mm, 1 in) and the fineness (Ø3.8 mm, 0.15 in) of the tip itself allows measurements in well bottom to 26 mm (1 in).

Retracted sleeve

Retractable and lockable sleeve :

A translucent sleeve gives tip a IP2X grade protection (according to IEC 60529 "Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code)", and prevents any accidental contact or touch. This sleeve is retractable by pulling the button to the back. It covers tip and locks automatically when button is released. It can also be held retracted by installing a special tool shipped with the fuse-holder test tip.

Sleeve covering the tip, IP2X protection

Sleeve retracted and held thanks to the special tool

Connectable test tip :

Thanks to its sleeve specially designed, the test tip can be safely connected to

It can be also connected to basic Ø4 mm female sockets generally limited to non hazardous live voltages 33 V~ / 70 VDirect current..

Twinning use possible at 19 mm (0.75 in) pitch :

2 fuse-holder test tips can be twined thanks to guides.
The set creates 2 insulated pole with 19 mm (0.75 in) pitch compliant with pitch of some mains sockets and measuring device sockets.

Definitions (according to IEC 61010-031 standard, "Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use - Part 031 Safety requirements for hand-held probe assemblies for electrical measurement and test") :

CAT III (measurement category III) : measurements performed in the building installation. Examples are measurements on distribution boards, circuit-breakers, wiring, including cables, bus-bars, junction boxes, switches, socket-outlets in the fixed installation, and equipment for industrial use and some other equipment, for example, stationary motors with permanent connection to the fixed installation.

Reinforced insulation and double insulation ( reinforced or double insulation. ) : protection insulation equal to 2 basic insulation at least. Required for any hand-held accessory.

Pollution : addition of foreign matter, solid, liquid or gaseous (ionized gazes), that may produce a reduction of dielectric strength or surface resistivity.

Pollution degree 2 : normally only non-conductive pollution occurs. Occasionally, however, a temporary conductivity caused by condensation must be expected.

Breaking capacity : maximum current a fuse is able to break safely. The breaking capacity of the class CC fuses is more than one of the standard fuses ( 200 kiloAmpere against 120 kiloAmpere ) because they are intended to protect high power circuits. For this reason, they must not be replaced unintentionally by standard fuses else they may explode and create damages and hurts in case of overload.
