Principle : to be able to connect the end of a lead tip, unprotected, without any risk for the operator. Meanwhile, the usual safety rules must be applied.

Connection of Ø4 mm connectable test tips to common alligator clips or test clips brings risks for the user. According to standards and for safety of the use, maxi. voltage is reduced at 33 V~ / 70 VDirect Current. (non hazardous live voltages) even if test tip and common alligator clips or test clips are compliant with 1000 V   CAT III.

In partial connection, during connecting or disconnecting, tip conductors are accessible (to operator fingers for example). DANGER. And even in full connection conductors are too closed. DANGER too.

ELECTRO PJP's Electro-PJP's "IP2X" range accessories range provide the solution. The user is now protected when the test tip connects or disconnects to alligator clips or test clips (partial connection) and when it is connected (fulll connection). So 1000 V    CAT III compliance (for example) is kept and user works safety.
